Our train trip to the Mission

Last year Jacob Did a report for school on the San Deigo Mission.  So this year we rode the train up to see the Misson and Old Town.  It made for a nice day.

Bob Hope Memorial

Next to the USS Midway is the Fish Market.  We have been going here to eat for years.  It is a family favorite.  Outside is a Memorial to Bob Hope. These are a few of the crazy pictures that they all took.

USS Midway

We took a tour of the USS Midway. It was a lot of fun and I really recommend everyone taking the time to do it. You get to go at your own pace. You have head phones that tell you all about what you are seeing and it makes you leave feeling so proud of the sailors who work aboard these ships. The boys had a great time.After spending time on the island and seeing how young most of the sailors look Jacob and Jeffrey could fit right in.  Although this is a Marine who would of guarded the Captains  quarters.Nate Had the direct line to the President.  He had so much fun running around and seeing everything.

Grandpa and Grandma were right there along side us being just as silly as the boys.

Family Time

I cannot get over how much these two look like each other.The one thing I love about our time in Coronado is the amount of time we get to spend as a family.We have so much fun just sitting at the beach and being together.I think they are the best looking boys on the beach.

Fishing with Grandpa

There were lots of fishing days with Grandpa.  They could be found most mornings here at the peir near the Ferry Landing.  But one day they went over to the San Deigo side and one morning they rented a little boat that the took out into the bay.  It must have been fun because the big boys gave up alot of sleeping in to go fishing with Grandpa Jeff.

The Raft

Tom had me go get a raft this year before we left.  It was a big success.  He remebers doing theses same things here with his family while he was growing up.  The water was really cold but they all braved it to have fun with Dad!

Kayaking The San Diego Bay

The funnest thing we did this year was our kayaking trip.  We took a tour of the San Diego Bay.  It was a beautiful day.  Nathan did a little paddling, a little sleeping, but enjoyed every minute.  Jeffrey and I were the best team, while Jacob and Tom took a much more leisurely attitude about the day.  Next year I want to go on a whale watching kayaking trip.

Well we are back from vacation.  We had such a great time I have lots of pictures and adventures to share.  I think this was our best year yet.
